Welcome to Our Website

Briarwood is a Bristol school for children and young people with severe learning difficulties.  The school is based on two sites.

 

The Primary Department, on Briar Way, caters for pupils aged 3 to 11 years old. Briar Way is also the location for our Sixth Form Centre which looks after students aged 16 to 19 years.

 

The Secondary site, on Snowdon Road is for students aged 11 to 16 years old, it is co-located with Bristol Metropolitan College (previously known as Whitefield Fishponds Community School.)

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY: Monday 4th January - Term 3 Begins, Friday 12th February - Term 3 Ends. Monday 22nd February - Term 4 Begins, Tuesday 16th March - Parents Day (Secondary), Wednesday 17th March - Parents Day (Primary), Wednesday 24th March - Parents Day (Post 16). Monday 29th to Thursday 1st April - Combined Arts Week. Thursday 1st April - Term 4 Ends. Monday 19th April - Term 5 Begins
